Terms of Reference – Calgary’s Arts Plan Steering Committee

Committee Mandate:
  • To oversee the final phases of a process that will result in the completion and widespread endorsement of a long-term plan for the development of the arts in Calgary. This completion of this plan is being facilitated by Calgary Arts Development.
  • To advise on key areas of the plan and process with the goal of making the plan relevant to more citizens of Calgary, more likely to receive widespread adoption, and more likely to have a lasting and substantial impact.
  • The Calgary Arts Plan Steering Committee is an advisory committee to the Calgary Arts Development Authority Board of Directors, it has no decision making authority 
  • The Steering Committee will liaise with CADA’s Strategy & Public Policy Committee 
Committee Membership:
  • The committee is made up of representatives of organizations with a mandate that includes funding or otherwise promoting the growth of the arts sector, broadly defined, in Calgary, including the Strategy & Public Policy Committee of the Calgary Arts Development Board of Directors
Chair:
  • The committee will be chaired by a member of the Calgary Arts Development Board of Directors
Committee Term:
  • The committee will dissolve upon the launch of Calgary’s Arts Plan, anticipated in June, 2013
